Musically trained from a young age Kyle’s foundation has helped him forge a path through the Garage Band generation. Not afraid to step out of his comfort zone, his appreciation for each and every genre of music has given Kyle his unique and eclectic sound, a sound that one would be hard pressed to find anywhere else. It is because of this that he has secured himself a spot as one of South Africa’s most successful internationally acclaimed dance music producers.
Some of the best and most successful dance producers in the world top charters such as Shiba San, Pleasurekraft, Claude Von Stroke, Sharam Jey, Audiojack, Justin Martin, Dale Howard, and more show support for Kyle’s music. Due to this avid support his music has been released on high profile record labels such as Dirtybird, Bunny Tiger, Get Physical, Gruuv, Atlantic and Ultra.
Kyle is a resident at Truth, one of the longest running and most respected clubs in South Africa. His sets are edgy yet fun, and have evolved into a style of forward thinking house music that borrows from techno, deep house, garage, jacking and tech house.
Kyle has remixed recently for Rudimental, Flux Pavilion, Shift K3y featuring BB Diamond, LDRU, The Feels (USA), N2N (USA), Tchami and MALAA (USA/France).
He has had his own releases recently on Oliver Heldens DJ Tools EP Heldeep Records via Spinning Records, Dirty Bird, Big Beat/Atlantic, Universal South Africa and Enormous Tunes.
NEW FOR 2017
Out Feb 17th via Club Sweat/Sweat it Out came an absolute banger from Kyle featuring Dena Amy and the single ‘Weaker.’ Kyle beats are thick and thump against Dena’s sweet and subtle voice as she expresses how deeply she has cut by her lover, she has been a fool for him.
Kyle followed this up again in Feb with his next remix of 2017 for the Airwolf single, ‘The Way it is’. The Airwolf EP was released 24th February.
Out March 17th Kyle’s latest remixing efforts is for none other than Oliver Helden and his single, ‘I don’t wanna go home’.
The firm remix favourite amongst DJs on the remix EP. The original of, ‘I don’t wanna go home’ has already been ridiculously popular and now it’s received the Kyle Watson treatment.
Out June 26th is Kyle’s newest remix for Embassy, Metacentric, and Popartive’s ‘Desiree’ Kyle’s legacy in crafting bassline dominant yet funky house music that none have yet to replicate is suitably released on the forward thinking Dallas, Texas based Audiophile Live imprint.
