Paul has been a firm fixture on the UK house music scene for over a decade with an un mistakable ear for great music and sound technical ability. Morrell began his DJing career at the young age of 14 in his home town of Coventry, playing a mixture of trance and house, at clubs such as The Planet, Ikon, Crazy Daisy’s and The Foundry this led on to working alongside the club scene DJing A List including Tall Paul, Judge Jules and Lisa Lashes.
He soon became a regular face at clubs such as Ministry of Sound (London), Progress (Derby), Judgement Sunday (Ibiza), Passion and Storm (Coalville). He has also performed for brands including Cream, Gatecrasher, Sundissential, Godskitchen and Polysexual. Performed to capacity crowds at The Gallery @ Ministry of Sound (London) supporting Armin Van Buuren, Don Diablo and Oakenfold, as well as also supporting huge pop acts including Example, Katy B, Connor Maynard & Ms Dynamite.
Paul has remixed Livin Joys ‘Dreamer’ and ‘Don’t Stop Movin”, ‘Do You Want It Right Now’ for Degrees of Motion and ‘I Luv You Baby’ by the Original, the last two All Saints singles and Stonebridge’s classic, ‘Put em High’ all having massive dance chart success and radio support.
He has had his own releases on Kidology, New State, Perfecto and Hot Source.
New for 2017
Paul has been on remix alert for UK rising star Lost Child and his single, ‘Lifeline’.
His other latest remix released 14th April was for US indie band Half the Animal and their single, ‘Babylon’ receiving great feedback and already had over 200,000 plays on Spotify since it’s release.
He has remixed US star DJ Pebbles newest single, ‘Heart away from you’ the original entered the top 30 of the US Billboard Club Charts and has been climbing! Paul’s version is out June 9th!
Also in time for Pride, XXL released their new album as mixed by Paul serving up an upfront house menu featuring tracks from Tiesto & Oliver Heldens, Steve Angello, Afrojack & Hardwell, and Nervo. It also features an exclusive track from Paul in his Tension alter ego featuring Boy George on vocals. The track is a cover of the 90’s clubland classic ‘Tall ‘n’ Handsome’ and is bound to get the dancefloor shaking. The compilation entered the iTunes Dance Chart at Number 7.
